Maine BLN Seminar on Mental Illness in the Workplace
April 09, 2015
Harvard Pilgrim Health Care, Portland, Maine

The incidence of mental illnesses are among the highest of any disability group making it likely that someone in your workplace is experiencing symptoms of a mental illness. Because mental illness has historically been associated with stigma employers are left unclear about how to support an employee struggling with depression, anxiety, substance abuse and other emotional disorders. On Thursday, April 9, MEBLN hosted a seminar at Harvard Pilgrim Health Care in Portland to hear from vocational experts about how to effectively support this ever present yet hidden challenge in the workplace. For more information on this topic contact Leticia Huttman from the Maine DHHS Office of Substance Abuse and Mental Health-

The Maine Business Leadership Network events are accessible. Auxiliary aids and services are available upon request to individuals with disabilities.
